From 1956 to 1969, he led his Railways (Hutt Valley) club to six national club titles and Hutt Valley to seven provincial titles. His pitching was too much for most New Zealand batters and he showed how good he was on the international stage too when at the first softball world championships in Mexico in 1966, he pitched New Zealand into third place. He also played in the second championships, in Oklahoma in 1968, before retiring to become an umpire and coach. Return to the Inductee list
